2017 -2019

As the Executive Vice President of the group with interest in Real Estate Development and Construction serving the Middle east and Africa axis. I am part of the top management of the group and having the responsibilities for all the management duties and other tasks of the group within the middle east and African axis as follows:

  • Guiding other executive leaders wherever necessary

  • Overseeing the company operations in accordance with the strategic plans

  • Undertaking the responsibilities assigned by the president or the CEO

My most significant achievements made were to:

  • Introduction of Mortgage Alternative Property Financing- led various partnership arrangement for mortgage alternative property financing which allows buyers of property to enter housing ownership with a developer on a diminishing partnership arrangement.
  • Marrakech Smart City Initiative – led the feasibility survey of the Marrakech City and the development of a strategic Roadmap for implementation that cut across the Housing, education, transport and infrastructure sector. The idea is the actualisation of Smart Marrakech that uses information and communication technologies to increase operational efficiency, share information with the public and improve both the quality of government services and citizen welfare.
  • Land Digitalization Projects in Nigeria- Currently leading and managing the development of Yobe State Geographical Information System (YOSGIS) and the Borno State Smart-Room Under the Ministry of Land and Survey. Both with the goal of digitizing of their land allocation, management and geographical data. The Project is inspired from the success of Abuja Geographical Information System, (AGIS), Kaduna Geographical Information System (KADGIS) where significant successes were recorded.
  • BIM Africa Initiative- The is a consortium of several private and public organisations with the sole aim of bringing about (Smart Construction Adoption in West African Countries, Advocacy and Awareness) . I am representing the Thinklab International Group in the Consortium and subsequently I got appointed to be the chairman. The Vision is the product of Construction Strategy 2023 Policy Document (A white paper to guide all the 16 countries of the West Africa). This project is already gaining popularity and sponsorship from the United Nation and several international organisations.
  • BIM Based Project Management- I am currently leading as the prime project management consultant on all the construction projects of the Nigerian Army University, Biu. This is the first public funded project that is implementing the BIM Based approached in Nigeria. As the champions, we developed the first BIM Execution Plan Policy Document which is a guiding document for all the consultants in the Projects. The Outcome is cost saving in the project life cycle, efficiency, effectiveness and faster devilry of projects.
  • Nigeria Asset (fixed) Tracking System- This projects is sponsored by the Presidential Initiative on Continuous Audit (PICA) under the Federal Ministry of Finance. Thinklab designed and developed the system to track and trace all the Government fixed asset on a central database to enable for accountability and transparency.

2016 - 2017

Working in this fully integrated company specializing in design, selling, and leasing of modular structures to clients in the educational, government, commercial, industrial, oil & gas, and other specialty markets, I employ a unique blend of business and technical acumen to put my entrepreneurial spirit and seasoned experience to successfully bring about cross-departmental execution in product design and production. I am also responsible in managing directly large and exciting emerging marketplaces for the products to understand customer challenges, develop innovative solutions, help articulate value and help to guide the strategic product roadmap.

2014 -2016

As a senior associate of Thames International, an Enterprise Architecture consulting and training company, duties included the instruction and curriculum training of Enterprise Architecture techniques and best practices including the process of defining and implementing enterprise architectures at any stage of the (EA) lifecycle of the organization. These consulting and training services are founded in a curriculum of education and training services that enable architecture personnel and other participants to climb the learning curve quickly and develop a tailored architecture framework for their organization.  Consultancy and assessment services included specialized skills and knowledge sets that enable the organization to assess their current architecture and envision a target state.

As a member of the Advisory Board of BIM Africa Initiative, my role and responsibilities may include:

Providing strategic guidance: I am responsible for providing strategic guidance to the leadership of BIM Africa Initiative. This involves using your expertise and experience to help shape the organization's goals, priorities, and strategies.

Sharing knowledge and experience: As a member of the Advisory Board, I am expected to share your knowledge and experience in the AEC industry with the organization. This could involve providing insights into industry trends, sharing best practices, and identifying opportunities for growth and expansion.

Identifying potential partners and sponsors: I may be called upon to use your network in the AEC industry to identify potential partners and sponsors for BIM Africa Initiative. This involves reaching out to potential collaborators, explaining the benefits of the organization's work, and building relationships that can help support the organization's growth and sustainability.

Ensuring financial sustainability: As an Advisory Board member, I am expected to help ensure the financial sustainability of BIM Africa Initiative. Providing leadership: I am responsible for providing leadership to the Board of Directors and the organization as a whole. This involves setting the strategic direction of the organization, defining goals and priorities, and ensuring that the organization is meeting its objectives.

Ensuring effective governance: As Chairman, I am responsible for ensuring that the Board of Directors is operating effectively and in compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This includes overseeing the development and implementation of governance policies, such as bylaws and codes of conduct, and ensuring that the organization is transparent and accountable to its stakeholders.

Building relationships: I am expected to build relationships with key stakeholders, such as members of the AEC industry, government officials, and potential partners and sponsors. This involves representing the organization at public events and meetings, building networks of support, and advocating for the adoption of BIM in the industry.

Ensuring financial sustainability: As Chairman, I am responsible for ensuring the financial sustainability of the organization. This includes overseeing the development of fundraising strategies, ensuring that the organization's finances are managed effectively, and working to secure funding from donors, sponsors, and other sources.

Supporting the Executive Director: Finally, I am expected to support the Executive Director in their role of managing the day-to-day operations of the organization. As a Lecturer in the Department of Architecture at Ramat Polytechnic, my roles and responsibilities may include:

I also played a role in setting up the Higher National Diploma (HND) program for the institution, my specific responsibilities includes:

As a lecturer for undergraduate and postgraduate studies in the department of architecture at the University of Liverpool, my role and responsibility  includes the following:

  1. Teaching: My primary responsibility would be to teach digital architecture and building information modelling (BIM) courses to undergraduate and postgraduate students. You would be expected to design and deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and workshops that help students develop a deep understanding of the subject matter.
  2. Curriculum development: I am responsible for developing and updating the curriculum for the digital architecture and BIM courses, in line with the latest industry trends and advancements. This involve researching new technologies and methodologies, collaborating with industry experts, and incorporating feedback from students.
  3. Assessment: I am responsible for designing and grading assessments that accurately measure student learning outcomes. This might include exams, coursework, group projects, and presentations.
  4. Student support: I provide academic and pastoral support to your students. This might involve holding office hours, providing feedback on assignments, and offering guidance on career paths.
